How far it really plays
A 150-yard shot uphill and into the wind is not a 150-yard shot. Noon shows what it plays, and what each part adds, next to the real number.

Three things move the number
-
Wind
From the course’s live weather. Into the wind plays longer, downwind plays shorter, and a crosswind shows which way it pushes the ball.
-
Elevation
The height of your target against where you stand. Uphill plays longer, downhill plays shorter.
-
Air
Temperature and altitude. Cold air plays longer; warm air and thin mountain air play shorter.
Questions
What does plays-like mean?
It’s the distance a shot plays once wind, slope and air are counted. Uphill into the wind plays longer. Downhill with the wind plays shorter.
Can I turn it off?
Yes. Switch wind, elevation and air on or off in your yardage settings. The actual yardage is always there.
Does it cost extra?
No. Plays-like yardages come with every round, free ones included.
